University of Memphis – Lambuth hosts True Blue Day

JACKSON, Tenn.– University of Memphis -Lambuth welcomes alumni students to take part in its annual True Blue Day.

The event took place on campus Saturday offering a selection of events. There was a planetarium show, specialty lunch as well as ceremonies held to recognize the alumni classes.

Those recognized with coin presentations were the Class of 2001 receiving the Quarter Century Coin and the Class of 1976 receiving the Half Century Medallion. A Legacy Pinning also took place during the ceremony.

“It’s important because you forget what it’s like when you are in college and this gives you the opportunity to relive those wonderful times and the friendships that you’ve had for 50 years for 25 years and make new friends,” said Jen Free.

The True Blue event happens annually in Jackson bringing together former students to reconnect and celebrate traditions.
