Pitbull Shot on Jackson College Campus

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson Police said they had to shoot a pitbull on the University of Memphis Lambuth campus Saturday morning, because it was a threat to the public’s safety. Officers said they were dispatched to Burkett Street, where they found a pitbull attacking another dog. Police said they tried to secure the pitbull before it ran onto the campus, but were unable to control it. Authorities said the animal that was attacked is in critical condition.
