Former JSCC Coach to be Inducted into the Hall of Fame

JACKSON, Tenn.- A former baseball and basketball coach at Jackson State Community College received on for the highest honors a coach can receive. Wednesday evening, Marsh Goodson was inducted into the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association Hall of Fame. Goodson was Jackson State’s very first athletic director and was the one who gave them their name, “The Generals.” Goodson told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News he was excited to see how the sports program at Jackson State has come so far, so fast. “Just to see it grow from the ground up, to be a part of it, that’s it, that’s the big thrill,” Dr. Marsh Goodson, a TCCAA Hall of Fame inductee. Goodson retired in 1994 as the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at Jackson State. He currently lives in McMinnville.
