Drug Task Force Makes Meth Busts in Gibson Co.

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. – The West Tennessee Drug Task Force said it has been busy this week working methamphetamine related investigations in Gibson County. According to a news release, officers from both Gibson and Dyer Counties made their first bust late Monday night, after searching a home along Stafford Road, near Newbern. They arrested and charged Scottie Ables with possession with intent to sell a schedule II controlled substance. The task force said Ables was already on state and federal probation. Wednesday, agents said they searched a home on Wingo Street in Bradford. Jesse and Nicole Gapen, both 30, are charged with the following:
1. PROMOTION OF METHAMPHETAMINE MANUFACTURING 2.
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA 3.
POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE WITH INTENT TO SELL 4.
INITIATION OF A PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE METHAMPHETAMINE 5.
CONSPIRACY TO MANUFACTURE METHAMPHETAMINE 6.
CHILD NEGLECT AND ENDANGERMENT 7.
POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING COMMISSION OF A FELONY The task force said the Bradford meth lab brings the number of labs found in Tennessee this year to 351.
