Drug Task Force Makes Meth Bust in Gibson Co.

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.- The West Tennessee Drug Task Force said it has been busy this week working meth-related investigators in Gibson County. Officers from Gibson and Dyer Counties made their first bust late Monday night after searching a home along Stafford Road in Newbern. There they charged Scottie Ables with possession with the intent to sell a Schedule II controlled substance. The Task Force said Ables was already on state and federal probation. Then on Wednesday, agents searched a home on Wingo Street in Bradford. As a result, Jesse and Nicole Gapen face several meth-related charges, including child neglect and endangerment. The Task Force said the Bradford meth lab was the 351st lab found in Tennessee so far this year.
