Stray Animals Causing Problems in Gibson Co.

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A West Tennessee rescue group said they have been overwhelmed with dogs the past couple weeks, and they need your help finding them loving homes. About 40 dogs are up for adoption with the group, Friends of Gibson County Animals. Volunteers said they always want to take in more dogs, but there is just not enough room for them. They said just spaying or neutering your pet, or keeping it confined, will help with the stray problem. “Even if you live in the county, there are leash laws and confinement laws,” said Kim Cox, Director of Friends of Gibson County Animals. “There were two dogs found dead in the road [Wednesday]. One of them fell out of the back of a truck and another one was somebody’s small house dog that must’ve gotten out, and it was run over.” If you are interested in adopting or fostering dogs with the group Friends of Gibson County Animals, contact them at friendsofgibsoncountyanimals@yahoo.com, or on their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/FOGCATN.
