GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Students at Bradford Elementary School took a trip back in time to celebrate “Read Across America” Day. The students got a chance to get out of class and learn about some inspirational people. Organizers created different stations for students to visit with Dr. Seuss, Casey Jones and Amelia Earhart. Teachers said they want the students to have a good time reading. “We do this big deal for “Read Across America” so they can be excited and they will remember this day and maybe spark an interest in reading and making sure they concentrate on their studies so they can do whatever they want,” said the director of Before and After School Program, Bonita Wendt. More than 300 elementary school students had a chance to visit the exhibit.
