JCIL Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

JACKSON, Tenn.- An organization that helps those with special needs took a little time Friday to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Clients and employees of the Jackson Center for Independent Living saw a lot of green at their West Jackson facility. Those taking part enjoyed food, green drinks and fellowship. Organizers said St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday that everyone can enjoy. “Everyday is an adventure of how to help one another. And it’s not a one way street. They help me. I help them. We help each other,” said Beth James, executive director of JCIL. JCIL is a community-based. non-residential, consumer controlled program of services designed to enable persons with disabilities to achieve maximum independence and fully participate in all aspects of community life.
