West Tennesseans get chance to fight hunger with lasagna
JACKSON, Tenn. — You can help an international movement right here in West Tennessee.
Lasagna Love has been working to make sure families have been fed since the early months of the pandemic in 2020, and has grown to have thousands of volunteers in major American cities like Boston, Chicago and more.
“Lasagna Love exists to deliver comfort where we experience it most often — our family dining table — and to prove that even small displays of kindness can have profound and lasting impact,” said Lasagna Love founder Rhiannon Menn.
Joining the fight against hunger is easy, says officials with Lasagna Love. They say volunteers can be matched with a family, who they then deliver one lasagna or other hearty meal to.
“No one needs to feel helpless at a time like this,” Menn said. “Lasagna Love makes it easy for anyone to support others in their own community and as we’ve learned in our short, yearlong journey, your actions don’t have to be big to make a big impact.”
