Preparations Already Underway for Winter Weather
JACKSON, Tenn.- Wednesday is the official start of Spring. Just do not tell “Old Man Winter’ that. It seems he apparently is not ready to leave West Tennessee. With snow in the forecast for Thursday afternoon and evening, TDOT workers are already treating Interstates and state highways. A TDOT spokesperson told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the department has only had to use a minimal amount of salt this year, while 2011 was a record year. Crews will focus on bridges and overpasses should the snow start to fall.
