JACKSON, Tenn.—Forest Hill Park was supposed to be finished this time last year, but the 150-day project has turned into more than three times that. According to the Parks and Recreation Director Tony Black after some delays from the contractor the park will be completely finished within the next week or two. “This has been an experience trust me sometimes that happens and it’s out of my control and the contractor has not been paid until the job is completed,” Black said. He said all that is left is some lighting fixtures, landscaping, and dirt work. The park will be completed by the ‘Praise in the Park’ event which is on October 18.
