OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — A former employee has been charged with stealing from a Woodland Mills bank, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. April Dee Choate, 47, of Hickman, Ky., was indicted Tuesday by the Obion County grand jury on a charge of theft over $60,000, according to a TBI release. She is accused of stealing from Farmers Bank in Woodland Mills between September 2007 and July 2015, the release states. TBI special agents, investigators with the FDIC and the Obion County Sheriff’s Department began investigating July 27 at the request of the district attorney after a report of missing cash following a vault audit. Choate turned herself in to a TBI special agent Friday and was booked into the Obion County Jail. She was released after posting a $25,000 bond, according to the release.
