Archeofest celebrate 40 years at two-day festival
PINSON, Tenn. — The Pinson Mounds Archeofest held their two day event over the weekend.
It was a great turnout with many members of the community in attendance.
They celebrated their 40th year after decades of great success.
Many Native Americans danced and sang to celebrate and honor their culture with many people taking part and enjoying the show.
“What we’re trying to do with our music is present it, Contemporary Native American music. We combine the old, and what I mean by old is the pow wow drums, the chants, the Native rattles, buffalo rattles, and we mix it with today’s instruments,” said festival performer John Lone Eagle.
The event will be will be coming back next year.
