A local church lends a helping hand to senior citizens
JACKSON, Tenn. — A local church hosts an event to promote a senior citizen program.
The Pleasant Plains Missionary Baptist Church held an event called the Colors of the Bible.
The creation came to light by Christine Williams.
The colors of the bible started at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
The program consisted of every color that is in the bible and every family at the church represents a color.
The family chooses the color that they would like.
Once the family has chosen a color, they are asked to support the senior citizen committee by donating.
“Whether it is in your church community or regular community, always do things to support your seniors, because one day with god’s grace you will be a senior yourself,” said church member, Deone Epperson
The colors of the bible is a yearly event and has been going on for over twenty years.
