Ronald Edward Walker

Ronald Edward Walker, age 72, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of Alice Walker, departed this life Thursday morning, September 15, 2022 at his home.

Ronald was born August 2, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late George and Mary Wright Walker. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and at the age of 38, he went to Fogelman College of Business at Memphis State University where he received his BBA.

Ron was employed with the Memphis Police Department for several years and worked as a manager for various freight companies before his retirement. He was a Mason and enjoyed collecting guns, shooting targets, boating and most recently, riding his four-wheeler.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Alice Walker; his son, Ronald Edward Walker II; his sister, Jonie Edwards; two brothers, Aubrey “Bullet” Walker (Deborah) and Terry Walker; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Wiseman and two brothers, Gary Walker and Clint Alan Walker.

A gathering of family and friends of Mr. Walker will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
