MILAN, Tenn. — With the recent freeze advisories and seasons changing, many garden lovers are wondering what to do with their plants. Greenway Plant Nursery owner, Sonny Williams knows what exactly to do in order to keep plants healthy as the temperature decreases. “It gets cold every year, and us doing this forty something year… Every year is a little different, but it’s always gonna get cold,” Williams said. According to plant experts, some plants will be able to withstand the weather, while some won’t. “Some plants are just tropical and they’re gonna make it. Weather always rules everything. All the way from people, animal and plants, they’re all still alive,” Williams added. With the temperature dropping, some plant owners are skeptical as to whether they should still water their plants or not. Williams says, you definitely should. “It’s as dry right now as it’s been since last year. Even this summer, we’ve had a lot of rain, when it was hot we had a lot of rain. Now the weather’s cooling off and it’s really dry. So yeah, you need to keep stuff watered,” Williams said. Certain plants are able to be brought inside. However, if they’re seasonal plants and are already dying, they’re probably not going to be revived after the cold.
