JACKSON, Tenn.- If you are among those who will be hitting the road for an Easter weekend trip be aware the Tennessee Highway Patrol will be out in force. The department said Troopers will be out on streets, roadways and highways looking for imparied and problem drivers. The spring weekend is a busy one with thousands of Tennesseans taking to the road for their first big get away weekend of spring. Troopers remind drivers to take extra caution. “Just be responsible. The consequences on a DUI today are staggering. I mean, you got the fines, you got the court costs. You have got to pay the high insurance premiums. It’s something you don’t need,” said Lt. Brad Wilbanks, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The long holiday weekend begins at 6, Friday afternoon and will end at Midnight on Sunday.
