‘Hog Wild in Haywood’ BBQ fest underway in Brownsville
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Hog Wild in Haywood!
This weekend, Brownsville is having its first ever BBQ competition and festival.
The festival hosts BBQ teams from all over the south looking to get their brand noticed and get first place.
The event is being held Friday and Saturday. Gates opened at 5 p.m. Friday and will open at 11 Saturday morning.
There will also be a pageant, live music, a cobbler competition, mullet competition, a cornhole tournament, and more.
“We are really excited,” said Brittany Beaver, Director of Main Street Brownsville-Haywood County. “This has been a year-long process. We started over a year ago planning for this event. Our board is hundred percent volunteers, so everyone really came together and this is a great community effort. We are just happy to host everybody at this festival in Haywood County.”
Organizers say they’re looking to make this an annual event. Click here for more information.
