TBI: Missing Knoxville girl found safe in Ohio; father in custody

NASHVILLE — A 2-year-old girl the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide Amber Alert for Wednesday has been found in Ohio and is safe. Brooklynne Enix has been found safe in Morrow County, Ohio, and her father, Tyler Enix, is in custody, according to the TBI. Tyler Enix was added Thursday morning to the TBI’s Most Wanted list. He is charged with murder in the death of Brooklynne’s mother. A citizen had heard the Amber Alert on the radio and realized he was behind the vehicle referenced in the alert, according to a TBI release. The citizen called 911, and deputies with the Morrow County Sheriff‘s Office responded and initiated a traffic stop. Enix was taken into custody without incident, and Brooklynne was recovered and is safe. Enix was wanted by the Knoxville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Kimberly. She was found Wednesday in her apartment. Neighbors reportedly saw Tyler Enix driving away from the apartment in his wife‘s car before she was discovered, according to the release. Brooklynne, the shared daughter of Tyler and Kimberly, had been missing since the incident. Tyler Enix is currently being interviewed by Ohio law enforcement authorities.
