2 appear in Jackson court on sex trafficking charges

JACKSON, Tenn. — Two people appeared Friday in Jackson City Court on charges of sex-trafficking, prostitution and drug counts. According to court papers, Kiera Lawrence and Destine Owens drove a woman from Little Rock, Ark., to have sex in Jackson. Lawrence also is charged with prostitution and having marijuana and drug scales in a hotel room registered to Owens. Each has a bond of $7,500.
