NORTH JACKSON — Thousands came out Friday evening for the Jackson-Madison County Trunk or Treat event. This year it was held in a new location, the Ballpark at Jackson. Kids and adults in costume came out to the event. Along with fun, food and games, various first responders and organizations gave out millions of pieces of candy by the trunk load. Organizers say Trunk or Treat is a safer alternative to traditional trick or treating. Parents we talked with say they’re thankful for a safe place to take their kids. Families also got to watch the classic “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” on the ballpark’s Jumbotron.
