Funeral arrangements announced for Sen. Fred Thompson

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Republican Party has released funeral arrangements for Senator Fred Thompson provided by his family.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, located at 301 6th Avenue. The service will be open to the public.

 

All Tennesseans are welcome to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Senator Thompson,” Ryan Haynes, chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party, states in a release.

 

After the service, family and friends will go to Lawrenceburg for a Hometown Tribute at the Crockett Theatre, according to the announcement.

 

A private burial will take place in Lawrenceburg.

 

Woodlawn Funeral Home of Nashville is handling arrangements.

 

In lieu of flowers, the Thompson family asks for donations to the following organizations:
