Field of Flags honors local veterans
SCOTTS HILL, Tenn. — There is a field of red, white, and blue all to remember those who serve.
The American Legion Post 243 held their 4th annual Field of Flags Saturday program to honor local veterans.
Members of the community were able to honor their veterans by buying a flag with their names on it.
There was a reading of the names, as well as a 21-gun salute to honor those who have fought for our country. “We try to keep the spirit of all of our veterans alive through programs like this in our community and sharing t with the children of our community,” Joel Pipkin said. The program concluded with a homemade stew and live music.
