JCM hosts community cleanup day

JACKSON, Tenn. — Students, parents, alumni, and supporters spent part of their Saturday cleaning up their school. The community came out to clean up the outside of Jackson Central-Merry, as well as spruce it up for the fall season. More than 40 people came to set up two fall displays by the main entrance and flowerbeds over in the front of the school. All plants and trees and bulbs were donated by Lowes North and Morris Nursery. Several seniors from JCM and other high school seniors took advantage of the opportunity to earn community service hours that will be used to qualify them for the Tennessee Promise Scholarship and graduation requirements.
