Five locals named Titans Mr. Football finalists

Five West Tennessee athletes moved on to the next stage in the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards on Monday afternoon. The top 32 backs and linemen in eight classifications of the TSSAA were cut in half. TCA’s Andrew Goldsmith, USJ’s Trey Smith, Union City’s Jamison Blackwell, Haywood’s Emmit Gooden and Dresden’s Dresser Winn can now add Titans Mr. Football finalist to their resume. The group of five will attend the awards luncheon at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Nov. 30.
