JSCC breaks ground on Health Sciences Building

JACKSON, Tenn. — School leaders and local officials gathered Friday at Jackson State Community College to commemorate breaking ground on a new building project. The Health Sciences Building will be the permanent home of JSCC’s allied health programs, according to a release from the school. The event is the culmination of 15 years of planning, and construction of the building will mark the completion of a transformation that began with the construction of the Jim Moss Center for Nursing, the release states. JSCC officials, Chancellor John Morgan from the Tennessee Board of Regents, area medical partners, local and state government officials along with the Jackson Chamber gathered at the construction site. The allied health programs should move into the new building during the spring of 2017, according to the release.
