Goodwill Job Fair Draws Hundreds

JACKSON, Tenn.- Hundreds of job-seekers throughout West Tennessee lined up at the Goodwill Career Services Solution in north Jackson, Wednesday, all with the same goal in mind. The job fair brought out more than 100 people within its first hour, starting at 10 a.m. Dozens of others came in to speak with the two staffing agencies at the fair, Wise Staffing and Manpower. According to employers, between the two companies, 100 jobs were available. Counselors say they are constantly preparing job seekers throughout West Tennessee to actively search for job opportunities. “We try to have as many job fairs as possible so that people can meet with employers at one time…our goal is to service our community,” said Casey Coatney, a career counselor.
