Teen Transferred to Adult Court

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Jackson teen will be charged as an adult in connection with a Thanksgiving Day shooting in west Jackson. Wednesday, Tevin Murrell, now 18, was transferred to adult court by Judge Christy Little. He faces a charge of aggravated assault. On November 22, police said Murrell, who was 17 at the time, shot at a women, but was not hit in the 800 block of Westwood Avenue. Murrell surrendered to officers, March 15, the day before his 18th birthday. He is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond and his case will now go to the grand jury.
