Annual Thanksgiving luncheon serves hundreds
JACKSON, Tenn.,–A decade long tradition brought a traditional Thanksgiving meal to hundreds of Jackson residents Thursday. Each year, City councilman Johnny Dodd along with the Mount Moriah Baptist Church open the fellowship hall for those in need to enjoy a warm meal. One volunteer said she’s made the dinner part of her holiday tradition. “It does wonders to your heart,” Shirley Kizer said about seeing others enjoy the Holiday. “You just say thank you Lord for allowing me to bless somebody else,” she said. Lunches were also boxed up and delivered to senior citizens.
