Chester County voters pass tax referendum
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn.-From Chester County, votes have been tallied in Tuesday’s sales tax referendum. Voters have overwhelming voted for the new tax, 88 percent to 12 percent. The referendum, lowers property taxes and allows the county to set aside about $180,000 for the school system.
