Skyhawks have eyes set on playoffs
University of Tennessee at Matin’s football team hasn’t been in the playoffs since 2009. There’s a good chance that nine-year drought can end. A win on Saturday against Eastern Illinois gives the Skyhawks sole possession of second place in the Ohio Valley conference. “One of us is for sure going to get an at large bid,” head coach Jason Simpson said about the FCS playoffs. “I don’t get to vote, but I’ve seen other leagues and conferences. We’re worthy enough, our league and top four teams can matchup up with the top 24 in the country.” The Skyhawks and EIU kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
