Deputies: Marine recruiter arrested, charged with statutory rape
PARIS, Tenn.-Shocking news out of Henry County as a Marine recruiter is arrested and booked, Thursday while in uniform. Deputies have charged Marine Sergeant Steven Schwartz, 26, with statutory rape by an authority figure. Officers said last month, he engaged in a sexual relationship with an under-aged girl he met while working as a Marine recruiter. He is jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond and is set to make his first court appearance, November 10.
