JACKSON, Tenn.-If you are up for a challenge this weekend, there is one event scheduled that is just for you. This Saturday, the ‘Rockabilly Riot’ will be held in downtown Jackson. It is a 4-mile run with various physical obstacles in the path, that forces you to crawl, jump, climb and run. Organizers said the fundraiser is a way to honor the family of a Madison County firefighter killed in the line of duty. “We have this event because it’s different than just a 5K and it’s what our community has embraced in the past years. We also do this race because it’s a benefit and this year we’re benefiting the Chris Blankenship family,” said Emily Muse with ‘The Lift.’ Sign up begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at ‘The Lift’ in downtown Jackson with the first wave of rioters beginning at 9 a.m.
