EAST JACKSON, Tenn. – It was a weekend to remember for Lane College. The school sold out their inaugural “Dinner with the Pros” at the Oman Arena. A big reason for that was their guest speaker Ray Lewis. “It’s a blessing. It’s like my mom always said, you never know where you’re going to be called to be asked to do things,” the former Super Bowl MVP said. “To be here is very humbling.” Lewis was one of many former athletes in attendance. Sitting next to Lewis was Olympic Gold Medalist Rochelle Stevens. “It’s always an honor to be thought about. As an HBCU graduate, I feel it’s part of my responsibility to motivate others and help with the fundraising,” Steves added. “The message I would like for them to get is to make it happen. Some people talk about, some people think about it, some dream about it, but there’s a few that make it happen.”
