Lady Skyhawks topple Eastern Illinois in first round

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee women’s basketball team cruised past Eastern Illinois in the Ohio Valley Conference first round with a a 68-35 victory. OVC Player of the Year Ashia Jones nearly outscored Eastern Illinois by herself with 30 points. Sophomore Tiara Caldwell added 15 points and eight rebounds while Jessy Ward contributed 12 points. The Skyhawks will play the winner of No. 4 seed Belmont and No. 5 Jacksonville State on Friday at noon.
