Weather Update – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday

A cold front currently moving across the Southern Plains is bringing a few showers to portions of eastern Texas. This front will arrive in West Tennessee tomorrow night bringing few showers and, ultimately, cooler weather. However, the drop in temperature won’t last for long as winds from the south will return unseasonably warm conditions to the Mid-South next week just in time for Christmas.

Tonight, will be a cool night, but it won’t get quite as chilly as it was this morning when we started in the mid and upper 30s. Skies will remain mostly clear but cloud cover should increase through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will warm up to the low and mid 60s during the afternoon with scattered showers from morning through the evening.

Drier weather resumes on Thursday with clear skies for much of the rest of the week. Temperatures will start out near freezing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. Skies will become cloudy again on Sunday as low pressure develops to our north and west. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Monday and Tuesday with warmer-than-average temperatures.

Have a good night!
