Huntingdon standout commits to South Carolina

Huntingdon senior Sadarious Hutcherson always wanted to play college football in the SEC.

The 6-feet-6-inches tall defensive end fulfilled that dream this week by committing to South Carolina.

“I love the coaches and they believe in me,” Hutcherson said about the Gamecocks coaching staff.

The 250 pound lineman’s two other top choices were Memphis and Arizona State.

He plans to officially sign in February.

“I love the SEC and it’s a blessing to play in it,” Hutcherson said. “I can’t wait to play in front of coach [Will] Muschamp.”

South Carolina hired Muchamp as head coach in early December. The former 44-year old replaces the Gamecocks’ all-time wins leader Steve Spurrier.
