Madison Co. budget committee talks schools
JACKSON, Tenn.-Madison County commissioners gathered Thursday afternoon for a budget meeting.
Leaders discussed the current and future budget of the Jackson-Madison County School System.
Topics discussed included new school zonings since the approval of the “Vision 2020” plan, new school buses and schools with portable classroom facilities.
“We scheduled this meeting when the school board had made their decision on (“Vision) 2020″, with the idea that we might have some issues to discuss a far as funding,” said Larry Lowrance, a budget committee member.
The date for the next Madison County budget meeting will be announced soon.
