A ridge of Canadian high pressure will continue to build into the
region today and persist across the area through Sunday. This
will bring precipitation free weather along with cool temperatures.
Highs today will be in the 40s. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will moderate back into the 50s.

A transition back to a much warmer and active weather pattern can be
expected for the upcoming Christmas holiday week. Several upper
level disturbances will move across the lower Mississippi valley
bringing shower and thunderstorm chances each day. Highs each day
next week will be in the 60s and lows will be in the 50s.
