Super Saturday draws hundreds wrapping up Christmas lists
JACKSON, Tenn. –The countdown to Christmas is ticking away, and Super Saturday is the last Saturday before the big day.
“We just expect a lot of traffic today and it’s all hands on deck and everyone is ready to help someone bring Christmas to their home,” JC Penny’s General Manager Christen Barron said.
JC Penny’s said Super Saturday has surpassed Black Friday for the past couple of years and for many of these shoppers. Saturday is one of the last days to wrap up those Christmas lists.
Barron said they see customers who only have a few items on their lists, and those who haven’t even started.
“It’s actually kind of a mix – men do tend to wait a little bit longer to shop. Most women that we run into are kind of tying up loose ends or just getting stocking stuffers and last minute things,” Barron said.
