JACKSON, Tenn — For anyone still looking to check things off your shopping list, there’s have only four shopping days left before Christmas morning.

For Stein Mart manager Ann Bellamy, it seems like Christmas may have caught a few shoppers by surprise.

“I think everyone has finally realized that Christmas is right here at us,” Bellamy explained. “Some of of them are like me, just started shopping last night, but business has really picked up in the last 3 or 4 days.”

Shoe Carnival has also helped more customers than usual.

“There’s a ton of people coming in doing last minute shopping. Looking for boots, stocking stuffers and all kind of good things,” Shoe Carnival manager Joshua Kisner.

At both stores people were looking for trinkets and stocking stuffers to finish up their holiday shopping.

“I love shopping,” customer Shirley Williams said. “The closer to Christmas the better. It’s usually less people. A few sales and just a good time.”

Both store managers said they have all hands on deck to accommodate the last of the holiday rush.

Many stores said they’ve extended their open hours to allow shoppers a few extra hours of shopping time through Christmas day.
