Berry Plastics facility to expand, create jobs in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Company leaders with a manufacturer in Jackson announced Tuesday they will expand their operation, creating up to 80 new jobs.

Tuesday morning at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce, officials with Berry Plastics announced its manufacturing facility on Lower Brownsville Road is expanding. The company makes bottles, vials and closures for the health care market.

“We’re just proud to be part of Jackson,” plant manager David Hardin said. “We’ve been here 25 years and Jackson has been a good home for this plant, and we intend to keep growing the business here in Jackson.”

The company estimates it will add about $1.5 million to the employment base in Jackson.
