Local teams gear up for Holiday Tournaments, others rest

SON, Tenn — The Christmas holiday is a nice break for high school athletes, and most basketball coaches say it’s time to get back to the grind before the second half of the season starts.

There’s a number of holidy tournaments going on in West Tennessee starting Monday.

The Point-Guard Christmas Classic at Huntingdon High School includes 12 different boys and girls teams.

In Martin, the Lions Club tournament will be going on at Martin-Westview.

Here in the Hub City, the 3rd annual Hub Classic gets tipped off as well with 16 total teams playing in the Oman Arena.
