Flood warning continues for Tenn. River
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Some roads remain covered in floodwaters as a flood warning issued for the Tennessee River near Decatur and Hardin counties is still in effect.
More than 30 roads are closed in Hardin County due to the flooding, according to EMA Director Melvin Martin.
Martin says the water is expected to continue rising until Thursday when it is expected to begin receding.
The flood warning was issued Sunday night by the National Weather Service.
The river stage at 7 p.m. Sunday was reportedly 380.2 feet and is forecast at a maximum of 384.8 feet on Wednesday.
