Blood supply critically low in West Tennessee
JACKSON, Tenn. — Lifeline Blood Services says they have issued a critical need for blood.
All blood types are needed, but the supply of Type O and Type B blood products are extremely low.
The organization said they have less than a one-day supply of these blood types for patients in local hospitals.
Lifeline Blood Services CEO Joe Schifano says they need all donors to give blood this week. Lifeline is located at 183 Sterling Farms Drive, and has extended hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for donors’ convenience.
