Jackson man charged with aggravated statutory rape

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson man is charged with aggravated statutory rape after allegedly having sex with an underage female.

A deputy with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the 17-year-old victim Monday. She said she and Jesus Villegas Martinez, 38, had sex after a friend’s birthday party in August and that she’s now pregnant, according to court documents.

Deputies spoke with Villegas who they say admitted to having sex with the victim when she was 17.

Villegas is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
