Weather Update: 11:30 am Wednesday

This afternoon won’t be too bad compared to how we started this week. Temps are expecting to return to seasonal and be in the mid and upper 40s. Clouds will continue to build into the region and the chance for rain holds off another day.

By tonight West Tennessee can expect to see mostly cloudy skies with temps falling into in the mid 30s. Even with the blanket of clouds it will still be chilly across the area.

By the afternoon on Thursday the chance for rain returns and we could be looking at scattered showers throughout the afternoon and evening. We might see some lingering showers on Friday morning. Temperatures continue to warm going into Saturday. By Friday temps could near the 60 degree mark. Unfortunately, we keep the warm temps for very long. A cold front accompanied by arctic air will drop the afternoon high temperatures for Sunday and Monday back into the 30s. It will be another cold start to the work week.

The rain chances will continue into the morning on Sunday but the amount of rainfall isn’t expecting to be more than a 0.1″ to 0.3″ across the area. The flooded conditions around West Tennessee shouldn’t be affect as rain fall amounts aren’t expecting to be too significant.
