Lane men break .500 with win over Fort Valley State

JACKSON, Tenn — The Lane College men’s basketball team improve to 9-8 on the season with a 74-65 win over Fort Valley State.

After the game, Coach Bryanth Basemore said while they’re glad to be over .500, there’s still work to be done.

“I tell you what man, we’ve been knocking on the door for about 4 or 5 games now trying to get to .500, and then when we get to 0500 we wanted to get past it,” Coach Basemore explained with a smile after Saturday’s game. “Its great for us. I’m gonna go up there and give the guys a great big hug. Let them know that I’m proud of them, but our job is not done yet. We still got more work to do and we’ve got a stretch that thing out 4 or 5 games over .500.”
