MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office will host its first community meeting of the new year Tuesday evening.

The department says these meetings are important to maintaining good communication.

“You never know what the community is
thinking. That’s why we want to hear,” said public information officer Tom Mapes. “If they have any concerns or issues or anything that we need to know about, we want to hear that and address that and make any corrections or improvements that we possibly can.”

The plans for next month’s meeting are already under way.

The sheriff’s office is coordinating with City Councilman Johnny Dodd and County Commission Katie Brantley to have the meeting in district two or five.
