Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. Wednesday
For many areas tonight, temperatures have stayed steady either dropping very little or not changing at all from where they were 4 hours ago! We’ll see this trend continue overnight with low temperatures winds out of the south keeping temperatures from dropping below freezing with overnight. After starting in the mid to upper 30s tomorrow, sunshine and southwest winds will bring us a warm day with high temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Rain will return to West Tennessee on Friday with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible for much of the day – especially the morning. In any thunderstorms that form, it’s possible we see small hail and even some gusty winds. The overall chance for severe weather is low. A cold front will come through Friday night bringing temperatures down over the weekend into early next week. The forecast models are not agreeing much on what happens next. One model predicts a chance for snow in southwest Tennessee Saturday night into Sunday morning, but many of the other models keep us dry. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for further updates to this forecast.
Have a good evening!
